Harriet Brown

As a young girl, with pigtails in my hair, and paint on my hands and face, I would craft detailed dresses for my barbies and spend hours playing with cardboard, paper and tape. Since before I could talk, I had a fascination with the arts, specifically visual.

In elementary school, I won art competitions in class and outside. I homeschooled in middle school, and spent my time designing digital illustrations and donating the money to charities like UNICEF. By freshman year of high school, I won the Scholastic Gold Key for two photographs I took. I took as much photography, ceramics, painting, and drawing as I could get my hands on, and enjoyed photographing for our schools yearbook.

As a college student at Tulane University, I decided to pursue a degree in Design with minors in Architecture and Anthropology. I’ve been working with Brockshmidt & Coleman, a notable interior design firm in New Orleans, for over a year.
